Product Description
Tired of sweeping? Vacuuming? Not being able to reach under all your furniture? Finally, there is a product that will do all the work - so you don't have to. This amazing robotic vacuum will move around your house picking up dirt, dust and pet hair while you sit back and relax. As well as vacuuming, this small vacuum will kill bacteria and deodorize with its ultraviolet light. This mini vacuum cleaner goes under beds, sofas, tables and other places where upright vacuums can't. The remote control can be embedded into the upper cover and easily commands the vacuum to clean any part of the room. This robot vacuum is so smart it can even detect stairs to avoid tumbling down! The five step repetitive rotations guarantee the most effective way to cover all of your room - please see Other Info tab for cleaning pattern details. This automatic vacuum can clean for up to 70 minutes before having to be recharged - and it can resume cleaning for an additional 40 minutes after battery recharging completion. It will beep to notify you when it gets stuck and will return to its home base when low on battery power. Use it on carpets (not on long plush carpet), hardwood or tile floors to get your house dirt free. It will clean carpet, hardwood, tile and linoleum floor. It WILL NOT clean plush and long pile carpet. It WILL NOT suck up dirt embedded deep down in the fibers of long pile carpet. Assembly level/degree of difficulty: No Assembly Required.

5 out of 5 stars Better than my Roomba   May 25, 2010
Adele Blood (Northwest USA)
I bought this a couple of years ago. I had originally owned a Roomba but ended up spending more trying to make it work properly than it would have taken me to sweep the room by hand. After the third one I gave up and asked for a refund. I had no expectations when I ordered this machine but was curious whether a company could make a robot vacuum that wasn't incapacitated by dust. So far I haven't had any trouble. Granted it doesn't have to work too hard (2 bathrooms and a kitchen) but it always leaves the floors cleaner than when it started which is all I care about. The self-docking concept is a bit silly and doesn't work very well but so long as my floors look reasonably presentable during the week I don't care whether or not it can find its way home.

When this dies I will most likely buy another one.

4 out of 5 stars Good product for the price. Tech support worked for me.   March 5, 2010

We've had the CC-2 for a month now.

It works as advertised - picks up dust off our hardwood floors. Certainly not whisper-quiet, it will wake you up at night. In a narrow corridor, it will bang into doors and walls a lot - which is to be expected.

The features work - it finds its own base and doesn't run out of battery under a bed (as long as overhead lights are on for the light sensor to "see")

After the first week, it started making "burr" noise and going in circles instead of straight. And I noticed white crumbs coming out of the left wheel's unit. Turns out, several hairs wrapped around the wheel axis, and the electric motor inside the wheel unit stripped a worm gear (plastic, of course).

I emailed metapo (and posted a question on their forum), waited for a few days, got zero response. Then I phoned - got a human being on the first try. They listened to my story (I told them I'd be comfortable replacing the wheel myself), and asked me to email or fax a copy of receipt (on my first try, I used [..], but they told me to use [..] instead). Later that day, they called me to say the replacement wheel is on its way. I got it the next business day, and our QQ-2 is back at work.

Overall, I like this little vacuum. We don't need most of the fancy features of the expensive models. We don't need automatic scheduling, because before the vacuum can work, we have to move everything off the floor for it - at which point, might as well start it by hand.

Metapo support certainly worked for us.

5 out of 5 stars Excellent product   December 11, 2009

This works great, it automatically swiches from floor to carpet and returns to it's base right. The remote works well also, I turn it on when I leave and come back to a cleaner house. Dosent pick up anything real big but to clean every day mess it's great.

Looks like a cheap pile of garbage and seems to work that way also. As someone who owns 2 Roomba's and a Scooba that work great, in fact work better then my Regular Vacuum, this thing is a big waste of money. If you look around, you can find good deals on the REAL THING, not these cheap Imitations, and the even cheaper versions out there.

The 4th time I ever ran the vacuum cleaner, it stopped working and ran in a circle over and over again for an hour. One wheel completely stopped moving. The company's website has a FAQ, and "wheel malfunction," was listed as a common problem due to a defective motor. The solution they listed was to contact the company for a replacement; however, when I emailed the company about this apparently common problem, they were very unhelpful. Thank God I kept my receipt, as they weren't even willing to talk with me until I emailed a copy of my receipt to them. Even after I sent them my reciept they made me jump through a variety of hoops filling out deliberately confusing paper-work in order to get my repair done. They then refused to just mail me my replacement motor. I finally got approval to mail back my cleaner for repairs. After paying $20 in postage to mail back the cleaner, I never again heard from metapo, nor have I gotten my repaired/replaced vacuum in the mail. In fact, when I emailed metapo to find out why they decided not to honor their warranty even after approving me for repairs, they decided to stop answering my emails. I have never had a worse customer service experience. You'd think that the company would be sympathetic to selling me a product that has a motor they know to be defective. Do not buy this product, or anything else from metapo. At best, they are inept and making and servicing their product. At worst, they're deliberate thieves.
